An e-bike is a bicycle first, but the motor, battery, controls, and frame design change the experience dramatically. A lightweight city bike with modest assistance feels very different from a fat-tire model built for uneven paths. Neither is automatically better. The right one depends on your route, storage space, rider size, cargo needs, and comfort preferences.
